I often find myself trying to figure out what my new role as a wife is. Just as often I find myself trying to figure out what my new role will be as a college graduate. I don't always feel like I can say what is on my mind. Sometimes I just want to ramble on about my thoughts in my personal blog...but really I don't want them to mix. So I've created a new blog!
There are so many things that I LOVE about being married! I think married life is the best. But, just like many others (I think?), sometimes I miss elements of my single days. Not the "being single" part, but the spontaneous travel and watching entire seasons in one night part.
Last night I talked to my girlfriend Karly Jo. We had so much fun talking about complete honestly. There aren't very many people in the world you can be completely honest with. People don't really want to know the raw truth about your crazy family, your stressful schedule, or your money worries. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I am have any of those things. I'm just saying...it's fun to talk to Karly because we tend to always go through the same things at the same time. We were even married within two weeks of each other. Our conversation was full of laughs.
We got off the phone immediately when Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice combined 2 hour episode came on. It seriously made me SO happy to watch that show! I love my TV shows! I miss having my best girlfriend around, who also loves watching that TV show. Kory just laughed at me when he came home and I was so excited about watching it. I was grateful he was supportive :). Is it bad I'm kind of in the mood to watch and entire season, episodes back-to-back?
I'm not exactly sure how my identity will shift as my life continues to change. But I do know, it's not shifting away from my favorite TV shows...yet. I didn't get to watch the rest of the Private Practice episode because Kory and I had to go to a surprise birthday party. I am finishing it now online, during my hour break between Friday classes.
